Originally from the Philippines, Rizz moved to the United States with her family at the age of five. She was raised in Long Beach, California, and attended Cabrillo High School. After graduating, she pursued dental assisting at Charter College. Shortly after completing her program, she expanded her expertise by earning additional training in dental billing and coding in San Diego.
Rizz’s passion for dentistry began in high school during an internship at her cousin’s dental office, where she gained firsthand experience with front office responsibilities such as answering phones, sending statements, and scheduling appointments. Observing a root canal procedure for the first time sparked her fascination with dentistry and confirmed her desire to work in the field.
Throughout her education and career, she discovered she was especially drawn to patient interaction and front office coordination. Her enthusiasm for learning and her experience working with a variety of dental specialists, including holistic, pediatric, periodontal, and implant dentists, strengthened her love for the profession. She enjoys helping patients understand treatment plans, supporting procedures, and navigating insurance billing.
Rizz has also considered specializing further, particularly in pediatric dentistry, as she loves working with children and is passionate about promoting strong oral hygiene habits from a young age.
Outside of work, Rizz is a devoted wife and mother to her four year old son, who has autism and inspires her every day. She cherishes spending time with her family, cooking, shopping, attending concerts, and visiting places like Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and car shows. She is also a big football fan and proudly cheers, “Go Niners!”
